Edwardian style traditional brass, fanned, fire place screen. It is mounted onto a solid cast iron base and consists of decorative, punctuated brass "fans" that fold out from the center. These are often called Peacock Fire screens, as they take after the open fanned look of peacock's feathers or plumage, while opened.

The brass has not been polished, so there is a patina as shown in the photographs. Also, some patina on the base as shown in the photograph. Fans operate well, but latches on either side do not latch; this however does not affect the fans ability to stay in place when closed. less
